tunnel

THRISSUR: The Kuthiran tunnel, a critical road link on the Palakkad-Thrissur stretch, has become a safety hazard for two-wheelers due to water and mud accumulation. Water has been gushing out like a fountain from beneath the concrete road inside the tunnel, leading to the formation of slippery mud along the path.

The issue is most prominent on the road leading toward Palakkad, where a small amount of water has been flowing for the past few days. Passengers report that the water appears to be seeping through a gap in the concrete road and not from any visible leakage above the tunnel.

The water flow has caused mud and debris to collect on one side of the road, creating dangerous conditions for vehicles, especially two-wheelers. Passengers have expressed concerns that if the accumulated mud and garbage are not cleared immediately, it could lead to accidents.
