DHAKA: Bangladesh has taken more Hindu monks into custody to deliberately create problems with India. Bangladesh has confirmed that two more Hindu monks are in its custody. The Bangladesh government has confirmed that ISKCON members Rudra Pati Keshav Das and Ranganath Shyama Sundar Das have been taken into custody. They were reportedly taken into custody when they went to deliver food, medicine and money to Chinmoy Krishnadas, who was arrested earlier. Police say that their activities are being investigated and that they were taken into custody under suspicious circumstances.
Along with this, Bangladesh authorities have also stated that the bank accounts of 17 people have been frozen. The explanation is that the action is against those who were involved in Chinmoy Krishnadas' activities. Meanwhile, the foreign affairs advisor to the Bangladesh interim government, Mohammad Towhid Hossain, responded that relations with India have deteriorated. Mohammad Tauhid Hussain said that the relationship deteriorated after Sheikh Hasina was given asylum. Mohammad Tauhid is a supporter of the country's closer ties with Pakistan. He had made this clear in an earlier interview. He said that Bangladesh's relations with Pakistan should not be limited too much in the name of relations with India.
Meanwhile, atrocities against Hindu temples and minorities continue in Bangladesh. Four temples were destroyed yesterday alone. These include ISKCON temples. The temple was demolished after throwing stones at those inside and driving them away. India has repeatedly demanded protection for minorities and their properties.
Meanwhile, the RSS condemned the violence against Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh. It also demanded that Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosaba should release Chinmoy Krishnadas, who led the peaceful protest of Hindus, from prison.
