AHMEDABAD: An 18-year-old girl was brutally murdered by her father after a heated argument over household chores. The victim, identified as Hitali Parmar, was allegedly beaten to death with a pressure cooker by her father, Mukesh Parmar.
According to the police, Mukesh and his wife Geeta have two daughters. On the day of the incident, Geeta and the younger daughter had gone out for work, leaving Hitali at home with instructions to complete housework. Mukesh, an autorickshaw driver, was also at home that day, having taken a leave due to illness.
When Mukesh noticed Hitali engrossed in playing games on her mobile phone instead of doing the assigned chores, he instructed her to finish the work. Hitali, however, ignored his repeated requests. Enraged, Mukesh picked up a pressure cooker and struck her multiple times on the head and body.
Hitali’s 13-year-old sister, who returned home upon hearing her cries, found her lying in a pool of blood. The family rushed her to the hospital but the injuries proved fatal. Doctors confirmed that a severe blow to the head had fractured her skull, leading to her death.
