CHENNAI: An IndiGo flight made a daring attempt to land at Chennai International Airport yesterday afternoon amidst Cyclone Fengal's fury. A video capturing the dramatic moment is going viral on social media.

The plane, battling strong winds during its descent, tilted precariously upon touching the runway before taking off again. Experts speculate that sudden changes in wind direction might have contributed to the aborted landing attempt.

Following the incident, Chennai International Airport was temporarily closed. A total of 104 flights were canceled and 21 flights were diverted to other airports. Operations resumed only this morning.

Cyclone Fengal made landfall near Puducherry at 5:30 PM yesterday, bringing torrential rain and gusty winds to coastal districts, including Chennai. By 7 PM, heavy rainfall inundated Chennai and eight neighboring districts.
