THODUPUZHA: Kerala Congress state committee member MK Chandran collapsed and died while taking part in a protest march against the electricity tariff hike in the state. The incident occurred at around 11.30 am on Monday in front of the KSEB office in Thodupuzha.

Chandran collapsed after experiencing dizziness while participating in a protest march and sit-in protest against the electricity rate hike in front of the KSEB office. Although he was immediately taken to a private hospital in Thodupuzha, his life could not be saved.

He is survived by his wife Sheela and children MC Anilkumar and MC Animon. The funeral will take place near the house at 12 pm today.
