TANUR: A differently-abled woman and her mother were found dead in the bedroom of their house in Tanur. The deceased are Panangattoor native Kalady Lakshmi aka Baby (74) and her daughter Deepthi (36). Baby was found hanging while her daughter was found lying dead on the bed.

Baby's elder son Deepak and his family are also living in the same house. Deepak was in Nilambur as part of his job. Deepak's wife Reshma and daughter were at home at the time of the incident. Upon noticing that Baby's bedroom had been closed for a long time, Reshma tried opening the door. However, the door was locked from the inside.

Baby's younger son Lijesh and family are living in the adjacent house. Deepthi is mute and has difficulty walking. Baby's husband and ex-serviceman Balasubramanian had died in a bus accident in Kootumoochi 15 years ago.
