KOZHIKODE: The post-mortem report of TK Alvin (20), who died while filming car chase reels, is out. According to the report, the cause of death was internal injuries. The ribs are broken and there was internal bleeding. The cause of death was a blow to the back of the head.
Postmortem procedures have been completed. Cremation will take place at the homestead in Vadakara Katameri. A case of involuntary manslaughter has been filed against Zabid, who drove the car. Deceased TK Alvin was the only son of Bindu and Suresh, a videographer.
The accident took place on Kozhikode Beach Road near the police station at around 7:30 yesterday morning. Alvin was filming a chase video of Defender and Benz cars from the middle of the road for a private company in Kozhikode. The speeding car lost control and hit Alvin. Alvin was taken to a nearby private hospital by his companions but he died around 11.30 am.
Manjeri resident Sabid Rahman and Edasseri resident Mohammad Rabeez, who were driving the cars, were taken into custody by the police yesterday following the accident. Alvin shot the video for the company he used to work for out of friendship. Also a cinematographer, Alvin has previously shot vehicle chase reels. Alvin, who was in the Gulf for work, came home only a week ago. Alvin had a kidney operation two years ago. He came home as part of a medical check-up that should be done every six months.
