IDUKKI: Three youths have been arrested for attacking police officers when questioned them for creating a ruckus in the public place. The incident happened last night at Kurucity near Perinchamkutty Chembakappara at around 7.45 pm. The accused attacked the patrolling police officers when questioned them for causing a mayhem in the public place. They were attacked by Puthen Parambil Sumesh of Perinchamkutty Chembakappara, his brother Suneesh and his friend Jijo.

Murikkassery circle inspector K M Santhosh, sub inspector Madhusoodhanan, SCP Ratheesh and CPO Eldhose were injured in the attack. The injured police officers sought treatment at a private hospital in Murikkassery. The police explained that the attackers were accused in a drug case. The accused produced in the court were remanded.
