NEW DELHI: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will present a bill in the Lok Sabha tomorrow, proposing simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies every five years. However, due to anticipated opposition resistance, the bill is likely to be referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee.

As part of its efforts to implement the 'One Nation, One Election' plan, the government will also introduce the 129th Constitutional Amendment Bill. Additionally, an amendment bill for Union Territories such as Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and Puducherry will be presented.
