THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala has been recognized as the state with the highest rural worker wages in the Reserve Bank of India's Handbook of Statistics on Indian States. The report indicates that rural workers in Kerala, across the construction, agricultural, and non-agricultural sectors, earn more than the national average. Compared to the national average of Rs 417, construction workers in Kerala earn an average daily wage of Rs 894. Ordinary agricultural workers in Kerala earn Rs 807 per day, which is higher than the national average of Rs 372. In comparison to the national average of Rs 371, non-agricultural workers in the state earn Rs 735 per day.
