THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a warning of rain in Kerala again. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the cyclonic circulation formed over the South Andaman Sea is likely to form again as a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal today. In this situation, there is a possibility of light/moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms in Kerala in the coming days.


The IMD is also predicting the possibility of heavy rain in isolated places on December 18. In this situation, a yellow alert has been issued in four districts of the state on December 18. The yellow alert has been issued in Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram. The IMD also informed that there is a possibility of light rain in isolated places in Kollam and Pathanamthitta today. There was rain in many places in Kerala in the past few days.

Many low-lying areas were submerged in the heavy rains in Tamil Nadu last week. There was waterlogging in Tiruvannamalai and Sriperumbudur. There was widespread damage in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts. The situation was also extremely critical in many places in Trichy district due to the incessant rains.
