MUMBAI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured the workers who built the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He said India also has a history of chopping off hands of workers who built the Taj Mahal. Yogi was speaking at the World Hindu Economic Forum in Mumbai the other day.
'You have seen how Modi gave respect to the workers who built Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. He honoured the workers who constructed the Ram Mandir. Meantime, the hands of the workers who built Taj Mahal were chopped off. It destroyed our tradition and legacy. Today, all workers are respected in India. They are also given protection.
Uttar Pradesh is a mixture of heritage and development. Our heritage is thousands of years old. Those who advocate terrorism and those who claim India's heritage should understand one thing. Our culture existed many years before they were born. It took 100 years to bring the vaccine against encephalitis to India. However, Modi brought the vaccine for Covid to India in just nine months. While free ration is being given to the people of India without any distinction of religion or caste, people in Pakistan are still begging,' Yogi said.
