VARKALA: Minister Kadannappalli Ramachandran said that the Gurudeva's visions are spreading beyond the borders of India to other countries of the world and the Pope's good words about Gurudeva's visions reveal that. He was inaugurating the spiritual – Satsang lecture series –pilgrimage season which was started on the occasion of the 92nd Sivagiri Pilgrimage.
"Gurudeva's messages are the way to stop the great wars going on in the human heart and to purify the mind. Gurudeva's vision is universal. That is why the state government started an Open University in the name of Gurudeva. In the cabinet that discussed this matter, the Chief Minister spoke about the need for a university in the name of Gurudeva."
"The relevance of Gurudeva's visions is increasing every moment. Mahatma Gandhi has said that his visits with Gurudeva were the most precious moments of his life. The interfaith conference held at the Vatican has gained historical significance. The pilgrimage that started with five people 92 years ago has now become a great pilgrimage with more than 50 lakh participants. People are flocking here without caste or religion bias," Kadannappalli Ramachandran said.
Swami Satchidananda, President of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, presided over the function. He said that Sree Narayanaguru was not only a social reformer and philosopher but also a great statesman. "Sree Narayanaguru discussed the issues of success in life apart from caste and religion differences. This can be understood if we look at the eight goals put forward as pilgrimage goals. He spoke about devotion to God only after education and cleanliness. That is what Sree Narayana Guru's words to learn about science and technology convinces," he said.
Dharma Sangam Treasurer Swami Saradananda, Swami Dharmananda, Gurudharma Pracharana Sabha Joint Secretary Swami Veereshwarananda and Municipal Councilors Rakhi and S Satheesan participated in the function.
