NEW DELHI: Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said he will not allow any Anti-Indian activities in his country. Dissanayake's assurance after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in Delhi comes at a time when China is making efforts to gain the favour of the communist lenient Lankan government. The Colombo Security Conclave is an important forum for regional peace, security and development. Modi expressed hope that the aspirations of the Tamil minorities would be fulfilled. Support will be provided to Sri Lanka in areas such as maritime security, counter-terrorism, cyber security and disaster management.

The two leaders discussed Ramayana and Buddhist circuit projects, Sampur solar power project, railway connectivity within Sri Lanka, the digital identity project, and education and defense pacts to promote tourism. Dissanayake thanked India for helping Lanka during the financial crisis. A sustainable solution to the problem of fishermen will be found. Dissanayake also met President Droupadi Murmu.
