KOZHIKODE: The whole of Kerala is praying for the health of Malayalam's beloved writer MT Vasudevan Nair, who is in critical condition at Baby Memorial Hospital in Kozhikode. MT was admitted to the hospital on the 15th due to health issues, including respiratory problems. His condition worsened by yesterday morning, leading to cardiac arrest. He is currently in the ICU with the support of oxygen masks and other life-saving measures.
Minister Mohammed Riyas, who visited the hospital upon hearing the news, briefed the media on the details shared in the hospital's medical bulletin. He said that the government and other systems are working together, utilizing all available resources, to save MT's life.
The latest medical bulletin states that there is no change in MT Vasudevan Nair's health condition. However, hospital authorities have informed that his heartbeat and blood pressure remain under control. A special team of expert doctors is closely monitoring his condition.
Minister AK Saseendran, CPM Politburo member MA Baby, and Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai visited the hospital and spoke with the doctors and family members. All of MT's family members are present at the hospital. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, spoke with MT's daughter Aswathi over the phone to inquire about his health.
