IDUKKI: Two engineering students died after falling in Aruvikuthu Waterfalls. The bodies of Aksa Regi and Donal, who studied at Muttam Engineering College, were recovered. The accident happened on Saturday night around 7 pm. It is unclear how the two fell into the falls.

Aruvikuthu Waterfalls is located about five kilometers from Muttam Engineering College. Aksa Regi (18), a native of Pathanamthitta, is a first-year student. Donal Shaji (22), a third year student, hails from Murickassery in Idukki district.

The dead bodies were shifted to the district hospital mortuary after other procedures. The two bodies were brought out by the fire rescue team from Thodupuzha.

Donal's mother is Lizzie. Brother: Sonachan.
Joppi Regi is the mother of the deceased Aksa. Siblings: Asna Regi and Adina Regi.
