THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's cavalcade met with another accident on M C Road. The back of the commando vehicle was hit by the local police’ jeep. The accident occurred at Venjaramoodu while the chief minister was returning after attending a programme in Kadakkal.
No one was injured in the accident. The jeep of Pallikkal police station hit the commando vehicle which was behind the chief minister's vehicle. It is believed that the accident was caused after the vehicles in the front stopped. The chief minister resumed his journey within a short time after the accident.
Five vehicles in the chief minister's motorcade collided on MC Road in last October. The accident occurred when the pilot vehicle suddenly applied a brake to avoid hitting a scooter passenger. The car in which Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was travelling was also involved in the collision. No one was injured. The accident occurred at Vamanapuram Park Junction. The chief minister was then coming from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram.
The chief minister's motorcade arrived at a speed while the scooter passenger was turning to go towards Attingal. The Bolero jeep in front suddenly braked to avoid hitting the scooter. The chief minister’s car which was coming right behind, also applied a brake causing a head-on collision.
