KOTTAYAM: The first chargesheet in the case registered based on the statement in the Hema Committee Report has been submitted. The case was based on the statement of a makeup artist from Kollam. The special investigation team submitted the chargesheet in the Kanjirappally court. The case is against makeup manager Sajeev. The case against him was registered by the Ponkunnam police in Kottayam.

The woman testified before the Hema Committee in connection with an incident that happened in 2014. Her statement was that she was sexually abused on the set during a film shoot. The woman was not ready to file a complaint initially. She later filed a complaint following the intervention of the Kerala High Court. The details of the chargesheet have not been released yet. 50 cases were taken based on the statement in the Hema Committee and this is one of them.

Meantime, the state information commission had formed a special bench to examine the complaints related to the Hema Committee report. A three-member bench was formed. The chief information commissioner will lead the bench. Two information commissioners will also be in the bench. The special bench will examine the complaints and appeals filed in connection with the Hema Committee report in detail and then take a decision. It will also consider new appeals coming.
