THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint has been filed for taking a student from the NSS camp to the Red Volunteer March of the CPM district meet without the permission of his parents. When his father came to see him in the camp, he came to know that local CPM workers had taken him away. Hari Kumar of Enikkara filed a complaint with the Peroorkada police over the incident.
The authorities had given him permission to visit the camp from 4 pm to 6 pm to meet his son. Hari Kumar said that it was only when he went there, he came to know that his son had been taken away from there. Vishnu, my neighbor had called me on the phone requesting to send my son for the Red Volunteer March. However, I told him that he was in the NSS camp and could not send him. Hari Kumar said his neighbour came home then and took my son’s uniform, saying that it was for another child, and then went to the camp and took him for the march.
He said Vishnu bought juice for his son on the way and then took him to the party office and bought him biryani for lunch. Hari Kumar said that he is a CPM supporter. However, he said that he had informed the party workers in advance that he doesn’t want his son to skip classes. Hari Kumar clarified that a complaint has been filed with the police demanding an investigation into the incident and that a complaint will be filed with the child rights commission and the education minister.
