LUCKNOW: A 22-year-old woman chopped off her lover’s penis for trying to withdraw from their relationship of eight years. She took the drastic step as his marriage was fixed with another woman. The incident happened at Musaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. Her lover is 24-year-old working as a building contractor.

Police said the two were in a relationship for eight years. The youth’s family were against their relationship. The youth called her to a hotel to pacify her on Sunday. After chopping off his penis, she tried to end her life. Police arrived and shifted the two to the hospital.

The woman knew that he was getting ready for another marriage. After entering the room, she took a sharp-edged weapon and chopped off his penis. The youth himself called the police and informed them about the incident.

The police arrived and took the two to the hospital. He is presently undergoing treatment in the hospital in Meerut. Reports said the two are out of danger. The police have registered a case and an investigation has started. The police will examine the mobiles of both. Police said the woman has confessed to the crime. The youth said the incident happened in a car.
