ALAPPUZHA: A 23-year-old youth was killed after two cars and two bikes collided in Chengannur. The youth has been identified as Vishnu, son of Preetha of Koothuparambu in Kannur. The incident happened in front of the SNDP union building on M C Road in Chengannur Town. Vishnu was thrown about 15 feet high and fell down on the road after hitting his head on the board nearby.

Another motorist identified as Vivek of Ambalapuzha suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted at the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. The rescue operations were conducted by the police and fire force. The police have registered a case.
