KOZHIKODE: Kerala is all set to bid goodbye to renowned Malayalam writer M T Vasudevan Nair. Public darshan has ended at his residence Sithara. He will be laid to rest at Smrithipatham Crematorium at 5 pm today. The final journey starting from Sithara will reach the crematorium via Kottaram road, Nadakkavu Manorama Junction, Bank Road and KSRTC bus stand. The last rites will be performed by his nephew T Satheesan.
Hundreds paid homage to MT. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also offered his condolences. MT is a writer who has won readers beyond Malayalam, and MT's contribution to the language and society will last for generations, said Stalin.
