KOCHI: Home delivery if booked online. However, leading e-commerce companies are also leading in service failures. Of the 12 lakh complaints received by the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs this year, 4.46 lakh were against online delivery firms.

Complaints range from product damage, replacement of the booked product, late delivery, non-refund etc. 50,000 more complaints than last year. This is what the Ministry of Consumer Affairs said in the Lok Sabha.

More complaints are against Flipkart, the Indian version of Walmart. Swiggy is leading in food delivery complaints and 'Ola' in cab service issues. Most of the complaints were received through the National Consumer Helpline (consumerhelpline.gov.in) portal. The central government said that 90 percent of these have been resolved.
