KOCHI: Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas injured in an accident. She fell from the VIP gallery of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. The MLA fell from a height of about 20 feet. She had come as a guest to attend a dance program. The MLA was shifted to the hospital.

The MLA was taken to a nearby hospital covered in blood. Uma Thomas hit her head on the concrete in the fall. Minister Saji Cherian was also present at the venue. Uma Thomas was on her way to take her seat after meeting the minister who had arrived to attend the event, when she fell from the barricade temporarily erected in the gallery. The volunteers immediately took the MLA to the hospital in an ambulance outside the stadium.

The MLA fell from the height of a one-story building. It is reported that Uma Thomas was conscious when she was taken to the hospital. The accident took place during a dance evening called Mridhanga Naadam, which was organized at the Kaloor Stadium with the aim of a Guinness record. No information about the MLA's health condition is available from the hospital. Uma Thomas MLA has been admitted to the emergency department.
