Actress Meena was a part of many hit films, including in Malayalam. She was the heroine of leading stars including Mohanlal and Mammootty. The actress who has starred in many films including in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada is also a favourite among Malayalees. She married software engineer Vidyasagar in 2009. Although her husband passed away two years ago, Meena is still active in films.

A few months after her husband's death, Meena was rumored to be getting married again. Meena's husband died while undergoing treatment due to respiratory disease. After the death of her husband, the actress became active again in the field of acting. This was when the news of remarriage started spreading. "The whole world is full of social media and technology now. That's why stories like this are coming. In the past, no one knew what the stars did on a daily basis and how they lived. With social media today, everybody is making a comment on everybody else."

"It is her prerogative to get married or not to get married. Who are you to decide about her? They know how to lead their life, right? Every individual knows how to lead their life. We can't dictate any terms to others. You are leading your life, they are celebrities, that's all. It's their profession. They have their own challenges. Don't add fuel to the fire. Leave their life alone. Let them lead what they want to lead. What they wish to tell you they will tell you. It is not compulsory that they should tell you. You only have to answer to god and yourself," Sarath Kumar said.
