KOTTAYAM: The Kottayam East Police has registered a case against the former head of DC Books Publication Division, AV Sreekumar, as the first accused in the case of EP Jayarajan's autobiography being leaked. Sections including breach of trust and breach of privacy have been charged. District Police Chief Shahul Hameed said that a special investigation team will investigate the case.
In the FIR, it is said that things that EP Jayarajan did not write were spread in the media. Jayarajan's notes for the autobiography were taken by deceptive means. The notes were bought from journalist Raghunath. The FIR states that Sreekumar had informed that the notes would be prepared and given in the form of a book. ADGP Manoj Abraham, who is in charge of law and order, had instructed Kottayam SP to file a case in the matter. Currently, only AV Sreekumar is in the accused list. It is hinted that DC Books owner DC Ravi will be questioned. DC Books had suspended AV Sreekumar, Head of Publications, after the incident became controversial.
