THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala paid its tribute to MT Vasudevan Nair, the unique visionary of Malayalam culture. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the commemoration ceremony held at Tagore Theater under the leadership of the Department of Culture. The Chief Minister said that MT's contribution to nurturing the cultural sphere of Kerala was unparalleled.
"Be it literature, cinema, journalism or any other field, his personality has left a shining mark. This is an era where works of art are used as a means to denigrate Kerala society. Propaganda films spread lies without any principle and denigrate Kerala. Such films are propagated by those in responsible positions. It is at this stage that films like "Nirmalyam' and 'Olavum' Theeravum" and their concepts are important. The brilliant face of Malayalam literature is seen by other Indian languages through MT, said the Chief Minister.
