KOCHI: Two students of St. Albert's College, Ernakulam died in a bike accident on Goshree 1st Bridge on New Year's Eve. Palakkad Kavassery native S. Aromal (20), and Thiruvananthapuram Uchakkada native Narendranath (20) died in the incident. Both were third-year students.

The duo were heading towards Vypin in Kochi for a New Year celebration when their bike crashed into an auto taxi. They were thrown on the road due to the impact of the crash. Friends and other passengers rushed them to Ernakulam General Hospital but their life couldn’t be saved. Witnesses told the police that the bike met with an accident while overtaking another vehicle.

Aromal is a student of B.Voc Journalism and Mass Communication. Narendranath is a student of B.Voc Fish Post Harvest Technology and Management. After the postmortem at Ernakulam General Hospital, the dead bodies were handed over to the relatives in the evening. The mortal remains were also kept at St. Albert's College for the public to pay homage.
