MALAPPURAM: A youth died after a cutter struck his neck while felling a coconut tree. The incident happened at Triprangode in Malappuram. The youth has been identified as Niyas (35) of Triprangode. The incident happened while he was felling his neighbour’s coconut tree.

The cutter slipped and struck his neck while he was atop the coconut tree. He was seriously injured and fell down from the coconut tree. He was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The body has been shifted to the district hospital in Tirur. The body will be handed over to his family after post-mortem.
