THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department warned of a temperature rise above normal in Kerala on January 2 and 3. The Meteorological Department gave the possibility of a temperature rise of 2 to 1 degree Celsius. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in the state in the coming days.

State Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert for the public as high heat is reported in the state. According to the warning, high heat can cause many serious health problems such as sunstroke, sunburn and dehydration.
