KOCHI: Mridanga Vision, which took Rs 1,500 to Rs 5,000 from dancers to let them participate in the mega dance evening, has only Rs 38 lakh in its bank account. While it is clear from the preliminary investigation that crores had been received, the police suspect that the money had been transferred from the account. Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya said that these issues are being investigated.

The bank account of Mridanga Vision was frozen by the police last day. Mridanga Vision has two more accounts. These are inactive. This too may be frozen soon. How much rupees were collected for the program and others, how much rupees were spent, the purchase and sale using this money etc. are under investigation.

The police found that the third accused, Oscar Event Management owner PS Janish, a native of Thrissur Poothole, who did not appear at the station despite the High Court's order, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Thrissur. He is under police surveillance. He may be arrested as soon as he leaves the hospital.

'Natyamayuri' first

There will be an investigation into the Natyamayuri dance evening organized by Mridangavision. Natyamayuri was organized by a few dancers in a luxury hotel in Kochi. It is being investigated whether there has been any collection of money or breach of promise, like in Mridanganadam.

Interim bail for the accused

Interim bail to Mridanga Vision MD M Nigosh Kumar, the chief organizer, who was arrested in the incident where Uma Thomas MLA was injured after falling from the VIP stage constructed without permission at Kaloor Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The District First Class Judicial Magistrate Court granted interim bail till Tuesday. The court also extended the interim bail of the arrested owner of Oscar Events India, Krishnakumar and Benny who prepared the temporary venue, till Tuesday.
