THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akshay, who grew up in an artistic family, suddenly made a new decision one day. He decided to give up drama, which he had been practicing for so long, a rest for a while. The tenth-standard student decided that his art form would now be Chakyar Koothu. Chakyar thought that the Kalolsavam stage was the most suitable place to criticize the evil tendencies in society, so he left theatre and turned to Chakyar Koothu. When he told his father, an artist and teacher, Ratheesh Kumar, about this, he was also happy. Thus, Akshay accepted the discipleship of Guru Poduvil Narayana Chakyar.


The flexibility was easy as he had foundation in drama. However, the results of his hard work reflected in the last state school art festival. Akshay gave a brilliant performance with an A grade. This time, the topic chosen was Krishna's arrival in the Kaurava Sabha. Including the political and contemporary events of Kerala, Akshay criticized the ruling and opposition parties.


He is a plus one student of Kilimanoor Government HSS. His younger brother, Ashwajith, a sixth-standard student was awarded the best actor in drama at the sub-district art festival and secured an A grade in mono act. His younger sister, Akshajaya, who is a first-standard student, is also following the footsteps of her brothers. Her mother is Anuja, an LP teacher.
