KOCHI: One has been arrested on the complaint of actress Honey Rose for his anti-women comments. The arrested is Shaji of Panangad in Ernakulam. The police have registered a case against around 30 people for their anti-women comments under her Facebook post. The investigation team said they will find the accused with the help of the cyber cell.


The actress filed a police complaint last night. The actress had posted a note on Facebook and Instagram alleging that a person was into stalking and using double entendre.

Her post said, ‘When someone deliberately tries to insult me through derogatory remarks and I don't respond, those close to me ask whether it's because I enjoy such statements or if I accept everything being said. When this person continued to invite me to events, I refused to attend. In retaliation, he deliberately tried to attend events I was going to and mentioned my name in the media in ways that insulted womanhood.

Can someone use the arrogance of money to insult any woman, and doesn't the legal system in India provide any protection against this? Upon inquiry, it was found that the person's actions prima facie constitutes offences under the Indian Penal Code for making sexually coloured remarks and stalking with such intent.


I personally tend to ignore such complaints of mentally disturbed people with contempt and sympathy, which does not mean that I am incapable of responding to it. One person's interpretation of personal freedom does not include the freedom to insult another person's personal freedom...’
