THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There was wonder in Mayookha's eyes. It was a dreamlike moment when she got a seat in front of the Godfather of Malayalam cinema. Without batting an eyelid, she looked at the face of Malayalam's honourable actor Madhu.
He held her hand and said, 'Dear, your mono act was good. What gift should I give you?" Mayookha was unable to answer the great actor's question. She said that sir's blessings are enough and touched Madhu's feet.
Ravana, Sita, a teacher, a Tamil girl, a girl who struggles to get an A plus in every subject in class 10 - Mayookha won the mono-act stage with various roles. It was the first time for Mayookha Sasidharan, Plus One student of Govt Higher Secondary School, Kasaragod, Pakkam, to attend the state arts festival and reach the capital. She secured A grade as well.
Mayookha's performance on the stage raised the question to the community 'Can't children who don't get full A plus live here?...'. The audience accepted it with applause. Mayookha's big wish was to see Pareekutti from the movie Chemmeen, which she has seen multiple times. That's how Mayookha reached Madhu's residence in Kannammula.
Climax which Pareekutti loved
Mayookha recreated the stage performance in front of Madhu. 'Did you think I was going to kill myself? Then you are wrong. Suicide is not a solution. It doesn't matter. This world does not belong to academic winners only, let us have the heart to encourage those with talent''- this was the climax. Mayookha's favourite actor also testified that he liked it a lot. Mayookha's father, Sasidharan Puthukun, was the one who taught Mayookha based on Anil Narikode's composition and brought her to the stage. Mayookha's Mother Shalini and brother Prayag are also with her.
