NILAMBUR: PV Anvar MLA said that the support extended to him by the leaders of the UDF and Congress following his arrest by the police was immensely comforting. Thanking the UDF leaders, PV Anvar stated that he went to the jail mentally prepared to spend 100 days there. He was speaking to the media after being released on bail in the case related to vandalising the District Forest Office (DFO) in Nilambur.

"Until now, it was a lone battle. From now on, we will collectively oppose Pinarayism. I am ready to make any personal compromises for that. Pinarayi Vijayan is digging his own grave. Pinarayi has made a deal with the RSS at the Centre to ensure the CPM does not return to power in Kerala. That is why they are targeting minorities in this way. The Chief Minister keeps reiterating that all Muslims in Kerala are extremists. Pinarayi's stance deliberately alienates minorities. Minorities who once aligned with the LDF are now distancing themselves from the party," PV Anvar said.
