MALAPPURAM: P V Anvar MLA said that his arrest and captivity was a conspiracy hatched by the government. The government's ulterior motive did not materialize due to court's intervention. While talking to the media after released from jail on bail, the MLA thanked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for arresting him.
‘The prison experience was not very good. Lucky to be out of jail alive within a day. Expected something more. When said so much about Pinarayi, no action is taken on what he said. Expected to eliminate me. The arrest was part of a well-planned conspiracy. But it fell apart. It did not happen due to the intervention of the judiciary.
It is the need of the people of Kerala to end Pinarayism. This misrule must be brought down. For that I will be with the UDF and the democratic secular forces cooperating for it as its fighter. What did Pinarayi achieve by this arrest? I am happy. I thank Pinarayi,’ said Anvar.
Anvar was released from jail at 8.30 pm last night after the Nilambur First Class Judicial Magistrate Court granted bail in the Nilambur Forest Office vandalism case. Anvar was arrested from his house at 9.38 pm on Sunday. He was remanded in Tavanur Central Jail.
The court rejected the demand of the police to keep Anwar in custody. The bail is on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a bond of Rs 35,000 for destruction of public property. He should appear before the investigating officer every Wednesday. Should not try to destroy evidence or influence investigation. He was also directed not to engage in similar crimes.
