THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Helen was born to Venugopal and Indira on May 1 in 2009. When Venugopal held his baby in his arms, he first looked at her fingers. Behind it was his desire to attain the dream that he could not achieve in school Kalolsavams, through those hands.

Though Venu wanted to learn violin since childhood, he was able to fulfill his dream only at the age of 22. However, at the age of six, Venu took her to his guru Joy Mathew Kannanthanam to teach her the basics of violin. On the fourth day of the school Kalolsavam today, Helen performed admirably in the HS section at the venue Manimalayar on violin. This is the third time Helen is being a part of Kalolsavam.

Venugopal, an official of the Motor Vehicles Department, said that since the birth of his daughter, he had wanted to teach her violin from his teacher. Helen is a student of Kottakkal Govt Rajas Higher Secondary School. Helen, a brilliant student, is also interested in classical music. Her favorite violinist is Martina Charles.
