NAGPUR: A couple committed suicide after throwing a wedding anniversary party for friends and relatives, around midnight. 57-year-old Jeril Damson and his 46-year-old wife Annie, both natives of Nagpur's Martin Nagar, were found dead after celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary. Annie's body was found on the bed inside the house, donned in her bridal dress. White flowers were found strewn on the body. Jeril was found hanging in the kitchen. It is believed that Jeril committed suicide after killing Annie.

They have uploaded two suicide notes on social media, including an informal will prepared on seal paper and a social media status. The note said that no one else is responsible for their death. However, the police indicate that the reason for the suicide is not clear. The couple had no children. In the note, they also ask their elderly relatives to distribute their property without any problems. After police procedures, the bodies will be cremated together in the same coffin as per their wishes.

A relative who saw Annie's social media status informed the others. Both were found dead when the relatives arrived and examined. The police concluded that there is no mystery in their deaths and that it was a suicide. The police have taken their phones into custody as part of the investigation.

Jerill had worked as a chef in leading hotels before the outbreak of Covid. He was later involved in financial dealings. Annie was a housewife.
