THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Honey Rose responded strongly to activist Rahul Easwar’s comments on women’s dressing through a Facebook post.
‘It's fortunate that Rahul Easwar, belonging to a family of temple priests, is not a temple priest himself. If he was, he might have imposed a dress code for women visiting the temple. After all, we don't know in which woman’s attire, he loses control. It appears that his so called control over language fails when he sees women’s clothing. If I ever happen to appear before him, I will be cautious.’

Your command over language is remarkable. For any debates to be meaningful, both sides must be represented. Hence, if Rahul is present, he will stand on one side with his impeccable command over language. Discussions often gain relevance because Rahul Easwar is involved. No matter how significant the issues raised by women, if Rahul Easwar is present, he uses his extraordinary linguistic skills and control to invalidate the concerns raised by women.
However, it is fortunate that Rahul Easwar, belonging to a Tantri family, did not become a temple priest. If he were a priest, he might have imposed a dress code on women visiting the temple. After all, who knows which dress of women could disrupt his control? From what I understand, the control he demonstrates in language seems to disappear when he observes women's attire. I will make sure to keep this in mind if I ever have to come before you.
