THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan responded to party worker NM Vijayan's suicide saying that the party is not keen on settling the case but is planning to help Vijayan’s kin.

V D SATHEESAN:

“Let the law take its course. The party will proceed with an independent investigation. After the investigation report comes, a decision will be made. The police have registered a case on the complaint. We have not said anything against taking FIR. Unlike CPM, Congress won’t intrude or disrupt the police investigation in any way.

It should be investigated whether the party leaders were involved in adding up the financial burden of the family in any way. The party is responsible to NM Vijayan's family and the truth must come out.”
