KOCHI: Boby Chemmanur arrested in actress Honey Rose’ sexual harassment complaint, spent the night with the accused in theft and drug cases. Boby is in the cell that can accommodate ten people as the sixth accused in the Kakkanad jail. He was brought to the jail at 7.10 pm yesterday. He was shifted to the cell after given a mat and blanket. The inmates of the jail will be given food by 5 pm. When the police informed that Boby had not eaten since he was in the court and hospital, he was served jail chapatis and vegetable curry.

Boby was arrested on Wednesday morning. He was later brought to Ernakulam Central Station by road in the evening. Boby slept the night in the cell after laying newspapers on the floor. After recording his arrest, the medical examination was completed and he was brought to the cell at 1 am on Thursday. Boby Chemmanur, who spent the entire night in the police station lockup, was exhausted after hearing that bail was denied.

He was brought to the court at around 12 noon yesterday after a medical examination at the general hospital. He was taken to the courtroom on the second floor, diverted from the main road where the media were waiting. The hearing on the remand report and bail application lasted until 2.30 pm. The court adjourned to pronounce the order after noon. Boby was asked to remain in the courtroom.

The magistrate read the order denying bail at 4.45 pm. Boby, who was sitting in the chair expressed discomfort. The court asked those standing around to stand aside and give him water. After completing the procedures, he was taken down through a lift at 5.30 pm. Boby reiterated in front of the media that he had done nothing wrong.
