ALAPPUZHA: CPM and NCP MLA Thomas K Thomas were criticized heavily in CPM Alappuzha district conference delegate discussion. Members from the Kuttanad and Thakazhi area committees demanded that the assembly seat in Kuttanad, where the party has 17 martyrs, be taken over from the NCP and it is the heart-felt desire of the party members there to vote on the party symbol.

The delegates accused the CPI of being a party without members. The CPI has a habit of growing in the shadow of the CPM and denouncing in times of crisis. CPM Kuttanad Area Secretary severely criticized Thomas K Thomas. "He has no idea about Kuttanad and Kerala. Some representatives appreciated the Chief Minister for not making Thomas K. Thomas a minister." There was an accusation that the MLA, who does not know North or South, was taking money from contractors.

Ranks are fed up with the leadership and are leaving the party

Some of the delegates blamed the exodus of the ranks and supporters from the party due to opposition to the actions and style of the leadership. "Many of the state and district secretariat members in charge of the organization were utter failures," the delegates said openly in their presence. The work of Alappuzha Medical College is causing damage to the name of the party and the government. Media conspiracy against my son: Pratibha

U Pratibha alleged that her son involved in the drug case had done no wrong and was not guilty and the incident was a media conspiracy. “Officials are leaking information to the media.
