JHARKHAND: Parents and students have complained that the school principal asked the Class 10 students to remove their shirts and go home in blazers. Serious allegations were levelled against the principal of a private school in Dhanbad. Around 80 students were forcibly asked to remove their shirts and go home in blazers.

The principal, who was not happy with the girls celebrating Pen Day by writing good wishes on each other’s shirts after the tenth exams, asked them to remove their shirts. The principal then asked them to go home wearing blazers. Even after the students apologized, the principal was not ready to compromise.

Several parents have filed complaints against the principal. The police said they have spoken to the girls and have started a serious investigation into the matter. The education department has also responded that they will investigate the incident in detail and will take strong action against the culprits. The local MLA responded that the incident was unfortunate and shameful.

Parents said the principal's action has caused severe psychological trauma to the children. However, school authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
