KOCHI: Activist and television personality Rahul Easwar clarified that he had filed an anticipatory bail application in Ernakulam High Court on the complaint of actress Honey Rose. An application for anticipatory bail was filed in the High Court following the indication that the police would take him into custody in the complaint.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, Rahul Eshwar said the petition will be considered on Monday.

Rahul Easwar:

“Yesterday was my son’s birthday and his friends were all at our home. To feared the chances of the police taking me to custody in front of them all. To avoid such a scene, I filed an anticipatory bail plea.

The plea will be considered tomorrow. Remember Mahatma Gandhi can be criticized in India. Mother Teresa, the president, prime minister and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan are not spared either. So it makes little sense to learn that people are abstained from criticizing Honey Rose.

The case will be dealt with vigorously. Recognizing that criticism is not a crime in this country, we will strongly fight against the existing trend of humiliating men by charging up cases for trivial matters. I heard Honey Rose saying that she pondered suicide over the issue, while in reality, 99 per cent media in Kerala supports her. So I request her to stop the superfluous comments and talk honestly.”
