NEW DELHI: As election rally and party programs went on for a long time, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi postponed the decision to submit the nomination papers.
Atishi visited the temple and gurudwara in her constituency Kalkaji in the morning. She went out as a rally to submit her papers along with former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Meanwhile, she joined Kejriwal in filing a complaint with the commission citing irregularities in the voter list. The paper submission time had passed by then.
BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress's Alka Lamba are the opponents of Atishi, who is seeking a second term in Kalkaji.
20 lakhs in a single day of crowdfunding
The crowdfunding campaign launched by Atishi on Sunday to raise funds for the campaign has received an overwhelming response. An online link named Humaari Atishi was also released. More than 20 lakh rupees were donated within 24 hours.
