KOCHI: The Youth Commission has registered a case against activist Rahul Easwar for making abusive remarks against actress Honey Rose. A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by an organization named Disha. Disha has filed a complaint pointing out that Rahul Easwar insulted women and spread anti-women remarks through news channels.

Youth Commission Chairman Shajar has asked that the panellists who insult the victims in channel discussions should not be allowed to participate in the discussions. The Commission informed this at the Youth Commission Adalath held at the Malappuram Collectorate.

Honey Rose had earlier lodged a complaint with the Kochi Central Police stating that Rahul Easwar had verbally abused her on social media. Facing the possibility of arrest, Rahul Easwar applied for anticipatory bail in the High Court. Rahul Easwar filed an anticipatory bail application in the High Court when the police sought legal advice on filing the case. The High Court had sought the police's stand on the anticipatory bail application.

The police have not yet registered a case against Rahul Easwar. In the bail application, Rahul Easwar stated that he did not verbally abuse Honey Rose and that he only gave advice on Honey Rose's wardrobe choice and did not talk about anything through the media that led to the cyber attack.
