MUMBAI: An opportunity for the public to see the divine teeth kept at the Gurudevagiri of the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti (SNMS) in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The teeth are preserved as the mortal remains of Sree Narayana Gurudeva. Darshan hours are from 8.30 am to 4 pm on the first Sunday of February. This is in connection with the Gurudevagiri Pilgrimage.
Putting the teeth on public display for more days is under consideration. Sree Narayaneeyars from different parts of the world come to see the divine teeth. That is why it is planned to put the teeth on display for more than one day. Dentist GO Pal had preserved the teeth removed a few days before Sree Narayanaguru's samadhi. A molar and two dentures taken out due to toothache were preserved. One of his last wishes was to preserve these treasured teeth for public viewing. That is how the teeth came into the possession of the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti in Mumbai. The Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti in Mumbai is the largest Sree Narayana movement outside Kerala.
