THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a possibility of rain in the state today. Isolated areas of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta districts are likely to receive light rain in the next three hours. However, no specific warning has been issued in any district.
The IMD also stated that there are no restrictions on fishing along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts today. However, there is a possibility of strong winds and adverse weather conditions with wind speeds of 35 to 45 kilometres per hour, and in some areas, up to 55 kilometres per hour, around the southern Tamil Nadu coast, the Kanyakumari region, the adjacent Gulf of Mannar, the southern Sri Lankan coast, and the southwestern Bay of Bengal.
In the northwestern Arabian Sea and the adjacent Gulf of Oman, there is a likelihood of strong winds with speeds ranging from 45 to 55 kilometres per hour, and in some areas, up to 65 kilometres per hour.
