KOCHI: A youth subjected to liver transplant surgery died while undergoing treatment. The dead is Thoyib K Naseer (26) of Kaloor. His father K V Naseer donated his liver to his son. Naseer died while undergoing treatment after the surgery.

Naseer died in April 2024. He was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit after a major vein to the heart was damaged during robotic surgery. He died during this time.

Thoyib had been in the hospital for some time due to liver ailment. He is an MA graduate. After his studies, he was into vegetable business with his father. Thoyib’s body was laid to rest at Kaloor Juma Masjid graveyard. His mother is Shijila, a member of the Sreemoolam Peediyekkal family.
