RAJKOT: Most of the Indian senior cricketers, who were out of form in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, faltered in the Ranji Trophy as well. Rishabh Pant did not shine for Delhi in Saurashtra-Delhi match. Pant, who was dismissed for just one run in the first innings, scored only 17 runs in the second innings. He could not lead Delhi to victory. Saurashtra's authentic victory was by ten wickets. Saurashtra needed only 12 runs to win. They won without losing a wicket.

Ravindra Jadeja, who was brilliant for Saurashtra with 12 wickets across two innings, came back to his form. Jadeja, along with teammate Dharmendra Singh Jadeja, bowled out Delhi for just 94 runs. Jadeja took five wickets for 66 runs in the first innings and took seven wickets for just 38 runs in the second innings.

Jadeja also shined in batting. Jadeja scored 38 runs off 36 balls including two fours and three sixes. Shardul Thakur scored a century as Indian skipper Rohit Sharma faded again in the match against Jammu and Kashmir. Rohit Sharma scored just three runs in the first innings and scored just 28 runs in the second innings.
